Bukit Hulu Bakau Hike

Bukit Hulu Bakau is located in Kuala Kubu Bharu and this trail is a tough trail and not for beginners. Lots of elevation gain and the hike is very demanding in endurance, strength and the most important is the mental strength. In total we have to complete a distance of 24 km.
The journey begins near Kampung Pertak, this hike is definitely NOT for beginners. We highly recommend training for at least a few months beforehand. The terrain transitions rapidly from low-level jungle near Kampung Pertak into steeper hill forest and persistent uphill gradient. The pathway is a rugged collection of natural obstacles, requiring careful navigation around fallen timber and over multiple stream passages, very few flat sections to offer a break. While not involving true technical climbing, hands-on balancing may be necessary across massive root structures and muddy chutes. Look for remnants of the area's history, including old iron pipes and abandoned mining tunnel traces hidden within the dense vegetation. Hikers must traverse many challenging route that includes river crossings and natural obstacles—a true test of strength and determination.
The peak offers lots of satisfaction for every climber who reach it and the sense of accomplishment you gain from conquering it, is really fantastic.
